This month saw toe launch of SEO Link Monster – a new tool for building large numbers of high quality back links quickly by veteran internet marketers and programmers Brad and Matt Callen. But what are the top link building tools on the market – and how does SEO Link Monster compare?
The Top Tools
Most people will have heard of these – the most popular and highly regarded tools for building back links. Arguably the best are Build My Rank and Article Marketing Robot – two very different tools that used together are very effective at improving your search engine positions.
But there are many others – SEO Link vine (a predecessor to SEO Link Monster), Backlink Solutions (a private network of sites), LinkVana (another high PR private network), LinxBoss (automated backlinks), Article Ranks (article/back link distribution software and web site) and now the latest – SEO Link Monster too.
All of these tools are useful – they provide wither large numbers of potentially relevant backlinks (articles, for example) or high Page Rank links (that is, links on high Page Rank PAGES not DOMAINS). Both of which, in my opinion, are necessary (along with good on page SEO) to get a site to the top of the search engines.
It is impossible to pick one single tool that is the only one you need – in most cases this simply is not true. If only for the range of different domains, IP addresses and class-C sub nets that using a range of tools will provide.
However, there are some that are more effective than others – and that is where the more interesting part of the debate starts. How does SEO Link Monster compare to similar alternatives?
What Tools do SEO Professionals and Web Site Owners Need?
Personally, I think you need both high PR links as well as large numbers or relevant but individually lower quality links from a wide range of domains and servers – giving both breadth and depth to your site’s reputation, if you like.
1. A few high PR Links – on high PR pages, not just domains
2. Lots of reasonable quality, but low or no PR links
You need different tools to get these different types of links. At the moment the top tools (in no particular order at the moment) for each are the following:
Top Sources of high PR Links
Build My Rank
LinkVana
High PR Society
Own site network
Individual site buys
Lots of Good Quality Links
SEO Link Monster
LinxBoss
Article Marketing Robot
SEO Link Vine
Article Ranks
Scrapebox (and other blog comments)
Which are the best?
If I could pick only one from each of the two categories above, it would be Build My Rank for the high PR links and either Article Marketing Robot or more likely SEO Link Monster for the large quantities of relevant, high quality backlinks.
Why? Build My Rank is one of the only places you can get high PR links – but it is very time consuming to use and rather expensive.
Article Marketing Robot has been a favorite of mine for a while now – I have been using it for over a year. However, most of the site it posts to are clogged up with spammy poorly spun articles now and SEO Link Monster has many more features.
So, if I could have only one main tool – at the moment SEO Link Monster would be it.
